Join the North Park School Community Council
We are seeking two new parent members to join our school community council for the next school year. The Council is a team of parents and school staff dedicated to improving academic performance and overseeing vital state funding. This Spring candidacy process is replacing the candidacies previously held in the Fall to allow the SCC to be fully staffed when the school year begins.
One important responsibility as a council is overseeing the allocation of annual state funding (LAND Trust and TSSA funds). We direct our focus and these funding resources in a variety of ways including:
- Academic Strategy: Setting school-wide goals on our greatest academic needs
- Student Support: Funding paraeducators and other support staff.
- Resources: Providing collaborative guidance for spending on resources to support student learning.
- Advisory: Consulting with school and district leadership.

- Meeting Commitments: The SCC meetings one day a month with additional meetings scheduled if needed
- Candidacy Forms Due: Friday, May 8, 2026, by 2:30 PM.
- Elections (if needed): Monday, May 11, 2026, via paper ballot in the front office if more than two eligible candidates apply within the deadline for the two openings on the committee..

While we all know how hard she works to make our school amazing, she’s the first to say this award belongs to the whole team. It’s her leadership combined with our dedicated staff, awesome students, and supportive families that makes this such a special place to learn and grow.
